Well that was fun. For the record I'm 37:)

This kind of poll would be cool to compare against other polls of similar, just different years. If this poll was taken in another 3 years and so on. Would be cool if we were able to look back 3, 6, 9, ect. years to see the ages change somewhat. Thanks for your participation and feel free to continue.

30 years old here. I'm not new to working on BMWs, but this is my first one. Purchased from my Uncle due to needing extensive repairs (well extensive if you're paying a shop for labor lol).

Its under the radar car for cops (not your typical 20 yr old car) 18 when i got it. But still a fast beast.

The look, full air ride, and how i have it setup now its very unique, versus buying a subaru sti like everyone else and buzzing around with too much of a drop to clear speedbumps.

Luxury, power, and the rarity of them on the road, are also my reasons lol.

For you younger guys (under 20yrs), was your X a gift? My first car at the age of 16 was a 1991 Ford Escort GT lol, couldn't even think of affording a BMW then! hahaha.

I probably only plan on keeping my X til spring time to be honest lol, drivetrain and dme issues scare me so I don't want to risk it.

the X was first car I had, i split the cost with the rents 45/55%. Made a deal that I pay gas, maintenance, platenumber, license plate sticker, mods, etc, but rents got the insurance.
Ever since I got the SAV, as dom toretto would say; 'Buster became a gearhead'. Been fascinated and very interested with all x5 e53s.
Hope to keep it for a long time:popcorn:Love the X5
