02 E53 coolant leak back of M62 eng

Hi,
I have a E53 w/M62 Eng .. 127 k miles. I noticed a coolant leakbottom of trans bell housing . last year I repl the valley pan, o rings coolant pipes. Is there any were else were coolant can be leaking from?

Did you also replaced any of the coolant hoses in the back of the engine?

I ck the hoses @ the RR.. They are all OK . even the pipe that connects to heads are OK.

L@@king @ some images on the net back of the M62 eng.. Theres a plate odd shape along w/ gasket under plate. In order to get to that plate (back of eng.), the trans has to drop down .

One last twist: on the the M62 V8 Engine from BMW there is a coolant plate on the back of the engine that is only accessible with the flywheel removed. This plate likes to leak coolant:

Time to get some Prestone stop leaks. LOL

I would check and recheck and recheck all other potential leak points even those I had worked on as far more likely to be the cause.

Ya I was thinking checking the valley pan & coolant pipes again.
