its been great all. thanks for all the information. I have a few things leftover (for a fair price) if anyone is needing anything:
-Cross bars for the roof - never used

I guess I'll be the one to ask the obvious question; why'd you sell it?

bawareca 05-10-2015 12:47 AM

I am interested in the crossbars and the mats.

Hi bawareca. shoot me an private message and we can discuss price, shipping, etc and if you want pics too

Sold it because i got a new Lexus NX. Pretty impressive car. My x5 was starting to need $ between tires, possible self level system leak, something in the front end was clunking. Just an emotional purchase to get the new NX along with some financial motivation

- self level system leak ~ $300 - $400 for leaking bags

- hose and air pump controller ~ $500 - $600

- something in the front end was clunking ~ $200/ea lower control arm w/ bushing

Buying a new car NEVER makes financial sense. There are plenty of good reasons, that's just not one of them.

X5 cpo expiring in 5 months. It has not been reliable since I've had it and felt it would be smart to get rid of it in advance of it expiring.

You made the right choice: A Lexus is definitely more reliable.

thanks Pax5. When there were no issues with the x5, i loved driving it. unfortunately i always seemed to be having various issues over my ownership period

BMWs aren't low maintenance vehicles. Never have been, probably never will be. If that's the goal, Japenese is certainly the wiser choice.
