My front left bearing on the e70 is slightly noisy and I plan to do it this summer if I have time.

I have done the axle removal/install procedure about 8 or 10 times on e53s and I assume it would be the same for an e70. Replacing the bearing looks a lot easier since it bolted to the upright rather than the press fit on the e53. (I had to buy a press to get those done)

Hi there blue dragon. I'm also trying to do the front wheel bearing on a 2008 E70. I've just ordered this tool as you suggested. It didn't list the E70 as being compatible - can you confirm that it will work..? How long did the job take you?

Thanks a lot.

For those looking to do this themselves, you need a special tool to pull the axle flange through the wheel bearing. The cheapest place that I could find that had this is here

It will work, and it all depends on how seized the splines on the shaft are to the bearing, you may have to soak it in a penetrating lubricant before you can get the shaft out
