I paid $281 for the pump and $99 for the thermostat,I replaced it myself but it is very time consuming, in my case I had to remove one side of the engine mount and jack it up to get it out.

The mileage on the car was 81,870 when the water pump went kaput. Wonder what's next  |
I also replaced my relay for the pump, just in case, it was inexpensive

It took about 8 hours, because it was different than the DIY I saw, and the Bentley manual was not clear, but now I can do it in about 3 hours, I will definitely do it myself again

Regarding the fuel pump - I actually just received a letter from BMW saying there is a recall on the fuel pump. If i have any problems fuel pump related, the dealer would fix and replace it for free. |
