BMW Brake Fluid warning message on

BMW Brake Fluid warning message on. What needs to be done? I took it to a shop that does Oil change, they said they can't assist. I took to a mechanic he said add brake fluid. But I don't think he knew what he was talking about. Any Ideas

Can you post a picture of what you are looking at?

The E70 has a bunch of different warnings to include "Service" notifications. There is a Service Notification for flushing the brake fluid every 2 years.

Make sure what you think is a brake fluid warning is not just a 2 year Brake Fluid Flush notification.

You can access the Errors/Service notifications in the iDrive system.

You've got two places that can SEE the warning and they dont know, yet you think we will know from 'brake fluid warning'?!?!

TAKE A PICTURE.

Or, if that is too much- you can google images, find the one that matches ad link that here

Standard CBS based "brake fluid needs to be changed" warning.

So get a brake fluid flush.

It should be in the owners manual too....

BMW Service : Service from BMW : Condition Based Service (CBS)

Time to dive into the owners manual and learn about your vehicle.

X2, however, are the shops that you go to qualified to work on your 4.8? I'd be careful because it is a pretty complicated motor...seems like a pretty simple diagnosis

This issue is so utterly basic...that 'complicated motor' isnt the issue. These bottom feeder, idiot tech, cheap crap shops should never touch ANY car.
