Transmission flush

Hi Guys
My 2012 X5d has 96k on it. Is it recommended to flush the transmission at this time or should I wait or never do it at all?

ZF the transmission manufacturer recommends ATF service at 60k miles.

It is a cheap maintenance compare to a new transmission !

I changed my pan, drained atf and filled~ 7 liters. It’s a fairly easy procedure.

You should drain it, not flush.

Drain (by removing the pan) and fill twice will replace most of the fluid. Make sure to replace the pan, as that is where the filter is. Get a ZF branded pan/filter. The same transmission is used in some Fords I believe, so you can use an OEM Ford fluid (can't remember which one). It's far cheaper than the ZF Lifeguard fluid.

Edit: It's Mercon SP.

Drain 2x fill

DO NOT "flush"
