It is pretty even wear. These days some tires have treads at different depths so the center and inboard tread wears out first. I guess they do that to the tire gets a higher cornering specification?

I'm running them at 36 lbs. cold. I always get a 4 way alignment with every set of new tires.

There seems to be a lot left on those tires. However you can always start looking for tires early. I just replaced tires on my E93 with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, what a difference, the car drives amazing, it's a completely new car. I will definitely look for Michelin's for the X5 as well when it's time for a change. Costco was also running a special on Michelin's however America's tire matched it for me.
