Anyone want to tell OP that his picture is NOT an 'air intake'?

Its a PCV hose:

Maybe $40?

Hoping someone out there has an idea what new injectors and plugs ought to be cost us - help!

Why are the injectors not covered under CPO? The broken hose is just a vent from the top of the engine back into the intake to capture small amounts of emissions. That hose being broken is the equivalent of driving around with your oil cap off. It is not something that will cause damage.

Reminds me of the old stories when there still were attendants at service stations.

Driver would pull up, "fill it up".... attendant would say "Check the oil sir?"

Next thing you know there is an oil leak under the car (a small oil can slipped back into the pocket) of a cracked/cut/broken hose.... and a concerned attendant advising "our garage better take a look- you dont wanna get stranded"

I mean sure, at a grimy station off a no-name exit...but can this happen in a building with "BMW" on the front!??!

I just replaced that hose on my 13’ and as others have mentioned it feeds the crank case gases into the intake track on its way to the turbo. I’m sure it could cause the air fuel mix to be inaccurate but I’d be surprised if it damaged injectors
