Rear shock part numbers

Hey guys I own a 2008 e70 x5 4.8 without sport package without 3rd row with self leveling suspension I am having a hard time finding KYB part replacement compatible with my model I already contacted KYB headquarters in Illinois and they claim they don’t make any for self leveling suspension but as far as I am aware they all came with rear cylinder airbags!!

I called a local autoparts supplier and they claim they have KYB compatible with my basic x5

KYB 341728

KYB 341727

I do not want something better I just want to know if these are compatible ..

:(

Not even rockauto helps the local Beverly Hills bmw dealer looked up my car by last 7 of VIN and gave me these part numbers

33526781923

33526781924

What do you mean by this???? Only cars with self leveling came with airbags.

Every car w/ 3rd row has this.

Very (very very) rarely a car without 3rd row might have been ordered w self leveling.

Based on the descriptions you posted, those KYB numbers will *not* fit your car. ie "Except self leveling".

Because the market is comprised of lazy morons, they have equated "self leveling" with "3rd row". Now, we all know these are semi-independent options...but they are equating them

What is odd, is that you cannot seem to grasp this. Or that you are hoping and wishing this 'glitch' in how the resale market handles this option oddity can somehow me exploited to give you what you want. The "I have self leveling and no 3rd row...so they say it works for 'no third row'"...as if this technicality will result in a fitment success.

The sachs '315 crosses to a BMW '921... you need a '923.

Sucks, I know.

How many miles on the shocks, that they are now bad?

They aren’t bad I’m just trying to refresh suspension parts 106k on dash

Having a hard time understanding your 921 to 923

Bump

ard 01-27-2020 12:36 AM

The bMW part numbers...instead of typing xx-xx-x-xxx-921 I just used the '921

IMO, the rubber bits in a BMW..isolation bushes- will need replacing before shocks. There are tons. The E70s really havent gotten there yet, where you see DIYs for massive restorations of all possible wear items....
