Navigation suck in the ocean

So as the title says my navi is not working correctly, has me stuck in the ocean. I recently installed 2020 maps. 2011 35D. It was working at some point, has old trips and stored home address. Purchased vehicle last month.

Did you recently get the pass side airbag recall done? The dealer may have left the GPS antenna disconnected at the back of the CIC.

Your title doesn't say anything about what is going on, nor does your post. If you want help, there are a lot of people willing, but you have to paint a better picture about what is going on, because we do not see what you see, or know the history of how you got to this point. So:
Is it not loading Navigation at all? Or is your GPS positioning incorrect on the map?
What happens when you select Navigation? Error code? Blank Screen?
How did you update your maps? Did you generate or purchase licensing?
Did you recently have your Pass Airbag Recall serviced?

No recall done, map update via usb and before that it was still saying my position was in the ocean. I checked the service menu and its not finding any satilites when I check on the gps setting.

Has it always shown your position in the ocean, or is it a new development. Sounds like the GPS antennae if you aren't finding any satellites. Is this on your CIC Retrofit?

No, its on my recently acquired 35D. Position has been in ocean since I got her in April. What color wire is for the antenna? I believe the airbags recalls have been done.

Sounds like it could be the HIP Module

Quote:

How it works
To calculate the vehicle's position (Host Independent Positioning), navigation data are computed on the following basis:

The HIP module receives Almanac data from the GPS aerial for

-Date
-Time
-Location of the GPS satellites
-Orbits

Operational capacity of the GPS satellites
Almanac data are selected in the HIP module and transmitted to the navigation system. With the yaw-rate sensor in the CCC, the values for change of direction (yaw rate) of the vehicle are determined. The following values are calculated from the data:

-Longitude
-Latitude
-Altitude above mean sea level
-Direction
Speed

EDIT** They aren't super cheap if that's what it ends up being. ECStuning has them for $320, but maybe eBay or salvaged would be cheaper.

2011 E70 has a CIC, not CCC. This sounds like its related to the antenna not being plugged in or faulty

Exactly. What do you think could be the problem?
