That part doesn't normally come apart it's a rivet. (If same as my words with same problem). Hers will stay together for a couple weeks at a time. I have the replacement part which will go in soon

Do you have a link or part number for this lever arm? I'll replace it next time I take out the tire.

Although my experience with taking out the tire hasn't been very positive.

After jacking up the front passenger side today, i hear the compressor kicking in and trying to lower down the vehicle. I panicked and unplugged the battery.

That action brought all kinds of problems. I lost the door locks, window switches, lights, turn signals, and god knows whatelse.

The suspension is leveling itself up now, after I drove the X5 for 0.5 miles.

I'm now waiting for the service adviser from a local dealership to call me back so I can confirm with him that my vehicle still has the extended warranty on the FRM module.

The ball joints are not meant to come apart.

BMW 37-14-6-752-797 REGULATING ROD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NXY38F4...p_mob_ap_share

I actually bought this one before figuring out our was the wrong model for car without self leveling axle and just HID lights. I would buy the replacement and leave in the glove box until either it pops apart or you have the wheel off for some other reason and as you described replace at your convenience.

Thanks Andrew. Does it work for both sides? If so I'll get 2 just so I have a spare.

Good news on the FRM module. I called BMW NA customer relations and they were able to track down the extended warranty information on the FRM module.

Apparently the DCS system was not showing the warranty information so he went to the AIR system which brought up 4 extended warranty parts on my vehicle.

I'll be able to bring it into the dealership tomorrow and have them replace the FRM gratis!

p.s. Here's the customer relations number in case anyone needs it: 1800 831-1117.

Wow, very nice. Good to see dealerships being friendly to an owner for once. Not usually the case, especially on vehicles not purchased there.

Did they give you any info on the warranties? SIB's, care plans, etc?

Yes. I really just need the FRM info so they gave me that:

SIB 01-80-17 expires on my car in Aug 2021 or 250,000km, which ever runs out first.

I remember hearing about the extended warranty on the noisy injectors, index 12 is the new replacement I believe. Does anyone have info on that SIB?
