Unable to pop hood driver's side

Anyone have any idea how to release the latch on the drivers side? I've been able to release the latch on the passenger's side, but am stuck on getting the driver's side open. I tried the same technique sticking a rod through the right side of the radiator (driver's side), but have had no luck.

Thanks for any help.

Do you mean left side

I apologize if my terminology is incorrect.

I know the truck of pushing the rod through on the passenger side of the radiator to release the hood on the passenger side. However, the driver’s side is also stuck, so I’m attempting to release the driver’s side by pushing the rod through the driver’s side of the radiator, but have had no luck. I’ve tried all sorts of bends in the rod, and it seems close at times, but is unable to release.

The hood release lever in the driver’s footwell appears to be totally disconnected. Pulling on it with vice grips has no effect.

Im not sure there is another (non-destructive) way....

Breaking out the front plastic grill?

I think there *may* be a way to remove the cladding in the LEFT front wheel wheel and grabbing the release cable??

(and FYI..when you sit IN the drivers seat, looking out the front window, the drivers door is on the LEFT side of that car.... here in the USA, that is)

Left side is the same on all cars. Driver's side is that part that changes that's why I bring it up when people use the ambiguous term (driver's).

Clue: your car will be LHD or RHD never drivers hand drive or passenger hand drive.

I didn't see any likely pass from the left wheel well, but I could take a photo of inside the hood for some possible clues.

Got it. The stuck latch is left hand side.

I have removed the grills.

A picture would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the links … I already looked through them. Most deal with the latch sticking on the right side (passenger’s side in the USA). I’m trying to find me a solution fir the left side latch (driver’s side USA).

If anyone can take a picture of the left side latch including at least part of the radiator, that would be great.

I looked at mine yesterday and there is a path through just like the right side. I didn't have a rod to put in there but it I can find one I'll take a photo of the magic spot.
