Since they got rid of the anti theft door locks for no good reason I think it's worth fixing the sensor

There are stories about the sensor being replaced and not fixing the problem. I get the feeling that there is something temperature related going on inside like maybe window or dash creaking/popping that is setting it off. Security doesn't bother me at all and I think the flashing clown nose is enough to keep anyone from trying to get in. The alarm siren is pretty lame anyway, like someone posted "like a toy fire engine."

There's a recent story of exactly that happening. Guy figured out when he parked facing east the sunrise set off his alarm.
I use bimmer code and I think I m remember seeing a setting for disable the sensor. You can also usually dey those types of setting by key or door handle if you have comfort access. |
