I just saw the 2007 X5 in person
 

I was doing a research evaluation for BMW and saw the one and only 2007 X5. no cell phones or cameras were allowed so I couldnt take any pics. 3rd row seating is there. same size as the current model. I also saw the V5 concept. both very nice.:thumbup:

I saw it in New Jersey at the Garden State Convention Center. It is the same shape as the red one, but the head lights are a little different.

the bottom half of the tailgate is now operated by a cheesy lever instead of the electronic push button.

the navigation screen has been reduced in size, maybe a 5.5". no double hump, so sun glare will still be a problem.

has i-drive and 5-series type gauges.

the 3rd row seats are very small.

I'm not getting a good enough picture here. We need to call in the police sketch artist. The suspense is killing me. :p

What about the rear end?! It seems thats where the most suspense, and widest concept variety is now...The p-chops range from AzteK to MDX look-a-likes...:tsk:

What i have heard is that the tailgate on new X5 is one piece like the X3.

I could have sworn I just saw a white one on getting on the 495 on Long Island. I only saw the back it said X5 and it did not look like the current one. The back was how do I put it "flat". I couldn't get over lanes of traffic quick enough to try and follow it. Is it possible?
