I'm sure when it hits the streets, I will like it. the only thing I don't really care for is the rear end. I do think the dash needs a face lift.

Yeah, I like mine too but once it's out and you get used to it, you will like the new one as well...

I'd wish they'd go ahead and announce the new model already. I'm sitting on the fence with regards to ordering an 06 or waiting for the 07s.

they are hoping you order an 06 to finish out the planned production. Remember they have to re-tool the production line and finish out the production with the orders on hand plus use the parts and components that will be changed. They alreadt have a date, they have to plan these things in advance. My understanding is that they can reconfigure the line in under 2 weeks.

I'm sure they are. But if the 07's have a diesel and are respectable looking I'm going to wait. The trouble is my current ride is needing some expensive repairs that I'd rather not pay for.

I hear ya' and it would be nice but they aren't going to tip thier hand yet. I didn't know a diesel was planned. That would be sweet! What's the mileage on those?

I'm not sure if the article pretains to the US market or not. I'm any event, the diesel should get in the neighborhood of 27/35 mpg according to another thread.

Minimally I need to find out how long they will be accepting 06 orders. I'm leaving for Germany soon and need to make a decision. Coincidentally, I'll be at the Berlin BMW motorcycle factory a week or so from now. Maybe there will be an 07 E70 kicking around there for me to see in person.;)
