These are very interesting shots...good find. Looks like a two piece tailgate, thankfully.

Also--look at the hood...it does not line up with the quarter panel--wonder if that's a mule hood. The other thing is the red tape that keeps showing up on the rear glass--what is under that?

the headlight looks like the current 3series!!!!!

Not sure why they are putting red tape on rear glass. hope they don't have XC70, CRV style lights there. Not sure about tailgate as it looks bigger in this pic below. The tailights have a chrome strip going through them across.

The finger prints on the third photo would lead me to believe that the rear hatch is a two piece.

First I thought it isn´t but now I know from somebody who works for BMW that it will be a two-piece like it is now :) great, isnt it? :)

And..the palm prints on the lower piece. Can't wait to see the real deal!

According to this article the pictures were shot at USA.I was wondering none of you have seen an X5 on the road?In Europe many shots were taken by individuals accidentaly on the road.

I saw a white X5 (E70) going down 85 North in Atlanta. I tried to follow it for a while to take pictures but it took off in the HOV lane. Looks exactly like the pictures above. Not as tall as the previous generations but looks really sharp. This one had intakes in the front and dual exhausts, while black tape covered alot of parts. Front almost reminds me of the Cayanne.
