does 2007 X5 have Adjustable Ride Height option???

I don't see this feature mentioned anywhere, in the brochures posted here or price sheets or ordering guide. Adjustable ride height was previously offered on X5's (although not in my 2002 4.4 w/ SP), but i really want it if I'm going to buy the 2007 model.

I need Adjustable Ride Height for increased ground clearance in deep snow and some off road situations.

Can anyone confirm or offer thoughts about this feature for the new model? I don't see a button for it in the pics... maybe via i-drive???

since the X5 is not a "true" SUV, i don't think there will be adjustable ride height on the car. Just my thought. I hope I am wrong. My Range adjusts itself and keeps itself flat with its adjustable ride height feature. It is a neat feature and I would get it if it was available.

Its available right now and has been since 2002. My 2004 and 2006 X5s both have ride hieght adjustable air suspensions. the new one will definately have it to but it will be a much more sofisticated system than the E53 X5 i currently have. Curtis do you even own an X5. How can you not know that is has been available already for like 5 years. By the way i just got back from the performance center off road course with the X5 and whoever says the X5 is no good offroad is an idiot. I did things with the X5 there that i nver thought were possible on and offroad. The offroad course they have there looks like something built for a Jeep and it took it like nothing.

It's not in the initial options list, but then neither is adaptive cruise. I think both will be delayed availability options.

i see 'dynamic cruise control' listed in the options list of the 2007 x5 ordering sheet i have. but i do NOT see the adjustable ride height anywhere. in the old ordering sheets, it used to show as an option... but not now.

is it possible bmw could be so stupid to remove this feature? anyway to confirm?

Press previews have mentioned it, so I think it's coming.

Do you happen to have MSRP and invoice for the adaptive cruise? If so, do you know if it's a regular system or the newer sort that can go down to a dead stop?

Wasn't on this sheet:

i don't know how it works and it's only listed on the ordering guide under order code 544. but there is no price associated with it. it is listed as a standard option.

Thanks.

Someone suggested that adjustable ride height only makes sense on an SUV. Which might be true. But the Mercedes SL has it, probably for a purpose other than off-roading.

i don't care if they call this an SAV, that's the same thing as an SUV... it's just marketing. this thing is designed to do well in bad weather, mud, and some off road conditions and absolutely SHOULD have adjustable ride height. even cars benefit from increased ground clearance in snow storms...

the porsche cayenne even gets greater ground clearance than a HUMMER H2 with it's adjustable ride height. Hummer should be embarrassed about that.

i would really like to find a way to confirm this for the 2007 x5... otherwise they shouldn't even bother selling these imo (ok, that may sound drastic, but in some ways, it's true).

Yes, I agree with your off-road experience with the X5! Recently I ventured on a fishing trip in the Sierra. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED, although my friend traveling with me was skeptical. Not anymore!
