Is it me, or does the back look EXACTLY like the Q7? I didnt even know they were out yet, but a guy down the street from me has one..What an ugly machine...

Dynamic or not, good looking or not, it will still be cheaper than the X5 and more reliable. It will still out-sell the X5; and if second at all, only to the Lexus RX.

You certainly don't have much faith in the X5.

Actually the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander outsell all of the above. But actually, who cares? Middle America does not buy BMW's.

Exactly, they're not really part of this segment- Luxury Cross-Over.

Being a visitor of the TOV forum (Temple of Vtec) and talking with a dealer I know that Acura is trying to go head to head with the 6 versions of Cayenne and X5. The suspension was tested on the same German track that the European uses. If all they cared about was soccer moms they would not be jumping into the ALMS P2 class.

That said in the styling department IMO the effort is weak. In terms of handling and performance this is a new direction for the MDX which they needed to do because of the RDX.

Well that just means they are targetting BMW. Lexus, Infiniti & Acura have been trying to target BMW's for over a decade, and they still haven't quite got the formula right...

The 07 MDX magnetic shocks seem like the ones used in Corvettes with that option and the posts on the corvette forum indicate that people like them.
IMO that has more value than air suspenion set up for on the road use.

MDX still has a 5 speed and even with a 300 hp that is an issue from what I have read.
