I can definitely tell you not to get the Range Rover Sport SC. I was considering getting one when it first came out but when I saw the build quality and test drove it, I concluded it doesn't hold a handle next to the current and the upcoming X5. Its heavy and slow, it has build quality like a Ford Explorer. I do think its the best looking SUV in its class right now, but if performance, build quality and reliabilty is not your cup of tea than go with the RR SC. :2thumbs:

if you're not getting rid of your x for "a year or 2" isn't this a bit of a waste of time? the model lineup will be different by the time you're ready...

well, in a year or two i think the new updated models of both the x5 and the cayenne are coming out so the new facelifts/engines will be good.

This seems to be the primary RR Sport forum: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/

If you want my .02, and I am biased, the new 4.8 looks awesome! I have never driven it but I would only imagine its head and shoulders above my '02 4.6. I don't like the the Pepper facelift or not (true Porsche fans don't like anything except the 911) and the 4.8 will run circles around the Rover sport and has more cockpit room and a 3rd row. When I sat in the Rover Sport I felt like I was sitting in my wife's Toyota Highlander (a little tight for me).
