Living without Adaptive Drive
 

I hear so many fantastic reviews about Adaptive Drive so I have a question for people about what it is like without it. Have I missed a major technological advance in the new car if I don't get it or is this just some more electronics that I'll have to take back to get fixed in 3 years time?

Is the handling and ride acceptable? Is it really worth optioning up for? In Australia it is an $8,700 option so it is a big decision.

I don't have any experience with it (except for a drive in a 7 series), but I think it will make the handling simply amazing for the vehicle it is. Having said that, $8700 :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

With all the shifting problems on the 2006, I wish I could turn it off.

I think Adaptive drive = Active Roll Stabilization.

Yes I was referring to the suspension stabilization. The option prices are a killer in Oz!

I've driven the normal version, and didn't desire anything more.

I guess you can't miss what you haven't had...
