Does the E70 have AUX Ventilation?
Does anybody know if the E70 has AUX Ventilation? I know you can use a timer to set it, but if you hit "max" like on the E53s, does it work?
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can refer to this thread. Thank ya  |
ohhhh....the residual heat thing...i think you press the rest button
|
There is a "MAX" button, which did the trick with 2001+ E53s. I'm wondering if the same applies. :)
|
i think there are both rest and max buttons...not 100% certain though
|
nope, just max.

In the E70 the Max button is no longer used for residual heat - the manual air volume button ( big one in the centre to the right of he rear window defrost) is used instead. Pages 102 and 105 of the owner's manual. When you press this with the engine turned off - o/s temp must be below 77 F and the button must be pressed within 15 minutes of swiching the engine off - rest will appear in the climate console.
BTW this is not the same as the latent heat accumulator that is/was offered in some markets. It can store hear for several days. |
Yuu can also order an Auxiliary Heating . Your car will be warm and defrost when you want.
The option code is 536. (1600 EUROS / about $2000). |
awww...isn't available in US...at least we're not told about it
|
Aux ventilation should be available in the I-drive menu ( I have it on my 5) . Only the Aux Heating is an option.
|
its in the i drive. you can set the time you want the heating on. i forgot where it is exactly but i saw it the other day when i was playing with it
