Hmmm...
Seems like the hotter it is outside, the cooler the stuff in the center console gets :)

But I'm not sure whether this is a planned feature or simply poorly insulated rear seat air ducts in our 1 week old X5 35d w/ Rear Climate Package. I guess I'll find out this winter if those now cool keys become too hot to handle

Think this was pretty common in 2007 cars. Not sure if it was a feature or a leak. But I don't have this in my 2008 and wish I did.

It still does it in my 2008.

2 things I discovered this morning.

1. It will not allow you to reverse the car when your driver side door is
open. I was trying to see if my rear wheels will hit the kerb by opening
the door to look. Engage "R" gear and when I open the door, it
automatically switch back to "P".

2. It warns you if you are adjusting your rear seats when in motion.
Wife tried to bring down one side of the rear seat to get access to
the rear compartment. Warning lights and sounds came on instantly.

Guess the above features are for safety reasons.
