Amazing! It was a bleeding edge car I suppose.

I always said, the Germans would do themselves a big favor if they sub'd out their electrical engineering to the Japanese.

Ive had two new Autobiography Range Rovers, and no way in hell can they handle our climate or our roads..

Toyota Land Cruiser 100VX/GX are the only cars that handle our country, thats why I have one of them when Im out hunting... Been using them since 1998 100VX now I got my 5th one now wating for the 200 series new Land Cruiser.

The Toyota Land cruiser is a capable off road vehicle, but it's just a copy of the "Land Rover" and namely the Pink Panther of military fame.. The only thing that I know of more capable of going anywhere is the REAL Humvee but they're not very reliable and require a military budget to keep running.

In Siberia there are only Land Cruiser's, no Land Rovers no Merc G-Wagons, only JAPS can really handle our "roads", in Siberia everything else dies...

Greenburg - Privet, kak dila?

You stated that it was a US X5. Can you please let me know if someone bought it here and then shipped it to your country?

How much did it end up costing you....I am told that an X5 3.0si is about $80-$100k USD in russia...is that true?

I had some people ask me to ship them a few new ones with MSO's to Latvia where a Base one sells for about 100k USD....

Please let me know....Spasibo !!!!

Yeah it was bought in the US, taxing is about as far as I remember was around $25,000 then the seller added on top of that to earn some money, so it came around to about hundred G'z. Mine costs from an official dealer about 125,000 Euro's. My car was the last car sent from US to Russia, as BMW is not to happy with there brand new cars coming from US to Russia. Well as you know we Russians keep our money in USD so buying BMW from official dealer and having to pay Euro's costs us even more of our USD's...

I have this problem also since a couple of days. Restarting the car does not help. As usual, the dealer knows sh*t. This is not the first time my car has an electronic mind of its own. First the high discharge battery issue which bugged me a few weeks, and now this new malfunction. I am getting pretty tired of bringing the car in every 4 weeks ...
