My WM6 HTC Universal is not in the BMW list but it works flawlessly with my E70. If a phone is not in the list that means "not tested", not "not compatible".

From BMW's and phone manufacturer's point of view, they are considered not compatible. They can test all the phone they want but it the test results are not favorable, it will not make it on the list, thus making it not compatible. Just like my Treo 750. Once the Treo 750 is officially upgraded to WM6, then it should make it on the list. You just confirmed my theory that WM6 Smartphone/Pocket PC units will most likely work with the E70 although it's not on the list. They may not have tested it but being WM6 OS seems to be one of the reason for compatibility.

As far as I know, the correct communication between the phone and the car through bluetooth is provided by SAP - SIM access protocol. Please make sure that your device supports this protocol, otherwise, the BT will not download your contacts into the car memory. My HTC s200 was not working under WM5 as BT hands-free, but after some upgrades it works smoothly with WM6 (SAP supported). Take a look at www.xda-developers.com.

Out of curiosity, I have not seen any cradles compatible with BMW or MB for communicators with mini-usb. It looks like some OEM producers are missing market opportunities  .

Regards, Vadim.

Thank you all !!
When trying to handshake the E70 with p3600i, the E70 ask for password which must be similar to the password in the P3600i The funny thing is that i have no password for my bluetooth in the p3600i (phone)
Later i will try again and let you know
I like the THC P3600I with Skype etc.

For mine, the password is 1234. You enter both passwords on the phone and Idrive.
