Saddle Brown appearance
Who has seen the saddle brown interior in an E70 in the flesh? I love the colour and it's available here in australia, but I'm just wondering if it looks a bit whack due to the black trim used on the back of the front seats and under the base of the seats etc
found some pics here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...2&postcount=31 ..but I still can't really tell for sure Have any of you who have seen it in the flesh got any comments on how you thought it looked? thanks |
You're right about the black on the rear of the seats. It throws it completely off. I never noticed before - but his ride was a special order. Are all saddle browns like that ?
|
according to my brochure that's how it'd be if I ordered it here too - brochure colour matrix shows saddle brown mixed with black
bit of a shame hey |
I have seen in person and I liked it. The one I saw also had anthracite headliner so it went very well as a whole combo. Stock headliners have very cheap look and feel.
More pics. Notice the headliner on A-pillar http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...81&postcount=1 |
Is Saddle a U.S. option, did anyone ever confirm this??

I have Auburn in my E60 545 and not only is the Auburn color very close to Saddle Brown, but they also both share the two tone setup with black carpets, door panel surrounds, and seat-backs. The two tone looks just stunning and I wish more interior colors were available two tone with black.......And this is coming from someone who absolutely HATES black interiors.

It doesn't delay your order.

I have Saddle Brown in my new E92 335xi coupe and love it. My wife is looking at getting a X5 and really likes the color. It's not listed on the BMW USA site, is the color a special order option, and if so, how much extra is it, and can the dealer take care of ordering it?
Thanks |

can you explain these "special" options? how do i find other special options? are you saying they are 'options' but you just have to know about them?
what i'd really like is an ALL black dashboard but with the sand/beige interior otherwise.... can that be done as a 'special' option? :) |

Has anyone successfully ordered a 2008 X5 3.0si in the US over the past two weeks with the saddle brown nevada leather seats (LUD3)? My CA is pushing back on this.

brian5 and Investor.........I started another thread on the availability of Saddle Brown in the US in order to clear up some confusion and to have all the info in one thread rather than buried within multiple threads. It seems like both of you are saying that SB can be ordered in the US, however, one of you is saying it may delay production while the other says it won't. I would like to ask you to please go to the new thread in the following link, read my first post and then please reply with whatever information you can provide.
Here's the link: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...tml#post387055 Thanks in advance, |
thanks for the feedback folks

Seeing that it is the same factory and supply chain: Dont expect any delay due to the Saddle Brown. Irrespective of where you are. (Unless your other option is to buy a unit that is standing on some dealers show room floor already) And it looks just GREAT ! Yes the rear of the seats are black. But that just makes it more stylish. And if it had been all SB, it would have been too much and would have spoiled it.... |
