I have a 535d which ahs the same engine fitted. I already know what the engine can do....once you have driven one you will wonder why they still make the petrol engined cars.

For my country, production starts in November and the whole Nov, Dec and Jan are sold out. Production of mine starts in February, delivery expected late March or early April.

There will be no X5 E70 be produced for European Market in December and first week of January roughly. They are resetting the plant in Spartanburg
for the first production of the X6...

Thanks for the info.

So mine might delay if that info of yours is correct... Damn! :(

Fredo 11-07-2007 05:18 AM

Presumably they have known about that for a while though? I think the sd allocation problems are more to do with the engine which is in short supply across the range. BMW seem to have massively under estimated demand for the sd. Not good news for those waiting but great news for residuals.

Hey abbadon, yours might be on time when your production is scheduled for February. This production stop for Europe is a planned one and already calculated in your production slot.
You will love your new ride my friend, I have been 3 weeks with an e70 3.0d in your lovley country this august. This car loves your coastal roads with serpentines and stuff like that...

so long

Hey, Christian! Many thanks again for the info. I was on the phone for last 30 minutes trying to reach my dealer to see what's happening and he told me he'll check and let me know within tomorrow, but thanks to you, i already know the answer, hope you're right:thumbup:

I'm glad you like my country, bro. And i'm sure you've enjojed here especially in summer. During the war in Croatia i lived in Germany for 2 years, up there in Duesseldorf and later in Rastatt, near Karlsruhe...
