Theres some good roads in southern ireland perfect for the M3 :)

i havent driven to ireland for about 3 years now so, im off to donegall in May with the x5 after that taking a drive down to cork, might have to do wicllow on the way, lots of my family live over there.

To be honest you have the best dilema in the world ...hehe ...hmm shall it be the x or the m.....hmmm terrible situation to be in ;)

I'm in Donegal, so you know what the roads are like - quiet and open usually, some good, some bumpy, and yep, maybe its perfect M3 country ;)

yes definalty when ever im there i usualy fly drive into belfast , driving those roads is even fun and a crapy megan hire car! but in an m3 ...mmmmmmmmmmm

Here is a sample of the type of roads we have over here in places - thats my environment, and I do suspect that its M3 biased?

I have owned one as well, and the stock suspension is no where close. Period. There really is nothing to discuss, it is an argument you logically can't win.

Now if you what to throw in "one or two people here" with respect to them modding their suspensions, etc. you can do the same with the M3 and build both cars into whatever you want.

Doen't the 335 also have some overheating issues on the track?

Regardless, the point is the 335 out of the box is NOT as fast as the E46 M3 NOR does it handle as well.

I have had a E46 325I an E53 X5 and now an E70 x50 I live in Dublin but travel the whole country and I wouldnt go back to a E46 especially a sports breed the roads are to harsh. Mind you I would have both if I could afford it. But if your doing lots of driving go with the X50

Yep, my current E90 325 M Sport has 18" wheels, runflats and sports suspension, and it can be a bit shaky !

The Magnetic Ride / active suspension I have on the TT does work, makes the ride softer in Normal mode, I guess I was hoping the EDC on the M would work the same.

What size rims do you have on your X5, and did you go with the Dynamic Pack?

I had one on order for 2008 but got my hands on a pre spec'd one in June so I couldn't change the spec it came with Dynamic pack and the 214 rims ... mind you see my post today under slow puncture!

I just logically won it; Correct, out of the box a 335 can't hang with a M3. On the road, not the track, a 335 with a Procede chip will easily run with a M3.

My dealer is offering me a pre specced X for January, Black/Black/Bamboo, Dynamic & 214s as well...... :)
