By the way guys, the pictures in this for sale ad are the correct reflectors - you can clearly see the double sided tape on each side for the E70. This is what you will get from somebody selling these for our X5s. Any reference made to changing these with a screwdriver, ala the E46 M3 and the pic above are incorrect. Cheers, KEF |

Hey guys,
We are definitely interested in running some specials for the E70s. That is a great suggestion- package deal with the frames and reflectors. Shoot some more ideas over to us as we want to give you guys what you want. It's not always easy to anticipate what would work best for you guys :) We also have pictures of the E70 reflectors up on our site, this is the best DIY I have seen and better than the one supplied to us from Bimmian so if you don't mind, I'll be referencing our customers over here :) http://jlevistreetwerks.com/images/e70%20reflectors.jpg |
Great Write-up, I missed where you said you purchased these from. This will be my first mod for sure as soon as I can pick the color X5 I want and place my order, I also think $80 for some plastic pieces is outlandish, can these be painted?? I'm sure I can find a paint guy to do them for A LOT cheaper

You can get them painted - on my E46 M3 I had a local spray shop do them for me for about $45 dollars or so. Ordering them on line save the time / effort / hassle of finding a shop and trying to get them to spray 2 tiny parts, for $30 dollars my time is worth much more. Cheers, KEF |
KEF,
I never posted a picture of the reflector swap that you helped me with. I'm REALLY happy with it! It's less obvious in real-life than the attached picture --- the car is not normally spotless and reflecting the sun like that... I now find the standard E70's orange reflector to be jarring. I think that it spoils the look of the car. Thanks again! http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...nterwheels.jpg |
Hey Brian,
Sweet looking ride....I guess you opted for the 18's or 19's for winter? I did sort of the same..got the 212 with 19's for the winter. |
