Dynamic Drive (or adaptive drive as it is now called) wouldn't maker any difference with 22" rims vs 21 or 20. All this system does is manage the pitch and roll of a car. This makes the car more comfortable during acceleration and deceleration and during cornering but it has no influence on making the ride more comfortable because of the rim size.
I had this system on my 630i (with 21" Hartge wheels) and I didn't notice any difference when I was in a 6 series of a friend of mine also equipped with 21" wheels but without the system. The only difference was during cornering as my car had less roll.
The sport pack on the X5 provides for the sport suspension and this was already enough in my opinion. The ride is rougher with the 22" wheels yet very acceptable.
