I known what you are saying but the problem with the X5 was not so much a part failure but more a software problem.

The steering wheel issue was a known problem that was not fixed until a new software revision was released around oct/nov last year. There has since been a further release also.

You better´get that BMW approved phone before you wake upp one morning after leaving your none bmw aproved phone in the car, and the car is driving around on its own, or was it the phone driving?
