yeah your right. I'll have to find out the cost.

if only the leather dash upgrade could be retro-fitted :)
I'd be signing up for that

Looks beautiful. You have the same silver/titanium front grill, that the 4.8i has, and also the 20 inch Y-spoke wheels. In the USA the 3.0 has a black grill, and the 20 inch wheels are not available for the 3.0si.

Wonder why Australia has that? Looks awesome!!

Bist du Schweizer?? Ich hab das 'CH' auf dem Wagon gesehen!!

Thanks!. The 3.0SD (twin turbo) models comes with the titanium grill as standard - to set it apart from the 3.0D (single turbo) model

The 20" Y spokes were an option and here in Australia you can order the 3.0si with these wheels aswell. On top of that there is nothing stopping anyone here with a 3.0D or 3.0si changing out their black grills for the titanium version.

If you took the 3.0SD badges off my car it will be identical in looks to a 4.8i Sports. I am guessing this is the reason why in the USA you can't option a 3.0si with the 20" wheels as they want to ensure product differentiation?.

At the end of the day no other X5 model even with titanium grille or 20" wheels will sound like your 4.8i - which I believe is very sweet especially on hard take off.

So you like the 'CH' sticker ? I'm not from Switzerland nor do I speak German but my European friend who is from Germany gave it to me because I like being 'different' - when it suits me  He didn't have the 'D' sticker which would have been better I suppose.

Thanks. When I first ordered the Camel leather I was worried it wouldn't be nice in real life - hard to choose from a small sample.

that was a smart choice.

Black Sapphire + Beige. I know it's typical, but what do you reckon?

Hi MI5 - great color combo. Like it very much! Would have gone for the same one, but am waiting for a little one to be given birth to... so maybe black interior is better for the next 3-5 years...
Very nice interior pictures as well! Perfect lighting IMO.

But... turning the "teachers modus" on......: Swiss (CH) is the only non-EU-country back here on "mainland" (if I might call it that)... they also DO NOT USE those types of number plates... I'm sorry... - no EU-Logo, no blue, nothing ... check this picture of the front of a swiss car...
