Sport 2003 steering wheel to a 2006 4.8 and vice versa...

Well, I just did it...
I had the Sport steering wheel from my 2003 F1 swapped with the ugly one on my 2006 4.8... It worked ok, on both X5s:thumbup: I followed xoutpost.com tutorials and disconnected the battery first, protecting the Airbags; so, when reconnecting the battery, some warning lights lighted on both... but wise me, I did all this at my friend's shop with his scanner, preventing this issue about those lights. The scanner guy re-calibrated the steering position and cleared all lites. Just a stubborn dsc light on the 4.8 did not went away, so I came back here (xoutpost.com) and found that a short drive around the block fixed it (steering sensor) so I did… Bigger smile now on my face.:nanana: |
