I have tried several, in fact I have a set of squeaking Mintex on my wifes car that I need to change out for some Jurids this weekend. I know better than to use Mintex, axxis etc but I had a set I got as a sample so I tried it. Complete garbage, the pads are not tapered, there is no shim, no vent cut and they are painted with paint that burns off in a couple stops.

TUV is a very important specification for braking systems and traction control. Changing braking characteristics will change how the vehicle performs when the ABS and traction control systems are activated. If an unapproved pad is used all bets are off with both those systems.

Thanks, I have the TUV testing association link. I was looking for the details of their certification process, specifically for brake pads. They actually use ANSI and ISO certifications in many cases. I would like to know what TUV have published that is specific to brake pad quality.

i have used kleenwheels dustshields on multiple german vehicles over the last ten years or more, without a problem. under both enthusiastic street driving conditions and long nyc LI commutes, both stressful conditions.
theres a chance my rotors have lasted a bit less longer than others but that could be my style. either way its a small price to pay for the cleaner rims imho.
ps they are on my X for at least 7-8k miles, zero issues and look fine.
