Pics: inside the OEM exhaust
Here are some shots of the inside of the OEM exhaust. Note the convuluted path that the exhaust gas must take, especially on the left side!
You may be wondering what I was doing cutting a stock exhaust open. It's not the exhaust that's on my car, but purchased from a local dealer for an 'experiment' and possible aftermarket possibilities. Whole exhaust: http://members.roadfly.com/haroldc/e...aust_whole.jpg Right half: http://members.roadfly.com/haroldc/e...aust_right.jpg Left half: http://members.roadfly.com/haroldc/e70_exhaust_left.jpg Center: http://members.roadfly.com/haroldc/e...ust_center.jpg |
cool...
do you have a pic of the entire under belly of the X5? i would love to see the entire stock exhaust's layout prior to mods... i had an oppty to take a pic when I did some work but didn't... if you have something that would be great! |
what's in the bags man? you stashing some key's?
i have never understood BMW muffler plumbing, more about quiet cabins than performance. my e36 had some dual chamber baffled nonsense weighing 40 lbs. i wonder i an e 46 m3 muffler would fit an E70. |
What cost does that run from the dealer?
|
cool, how did you open the exhaust?
|
I take it this is for a V8 ?
|
I'm impressed, your a madman !!!
What do you plan on doing with it? |
Got a few ideas bouncing around......
Don't worry.... I'll post photos and vids when I'm done. |
