Is it just me or does anyone have interest in getting the a carbon fiber hood (whether it be from hamann of Lumma), or doin anything that is more towards the sporty side rather than the Luxurious side...

yee. thats what im saying.. anyone looking for this "racey" or "sporty" look

Do you mean more sporty looks or more sporty performance wise? Overall, I don't like the look aspect of it on the X and putting a carbon fiber hood on a 5,000+ pound X5 to increase performance is a waste of time and money IMO. What will it reduce overall weight? About 0.005%? Carbon fiber is a funny thing. It can look really nice and if done the wrong way can make a nice car look really cheap.

EDIT: Sorry, you cleared up what you meant by "sporty" as I was posting.

you have a point.. i totally agree, it is a waste of money (and time is money so therefore time as well) but what im saying is from the performance to the looks, an overall "sporty-ness" to the car...

and also true to the comment about the use of carbon fiber.

Anyone know where I could buy the Lumma hood w/o the carbon fiber? I want it painted body color.
