Service to fix seat 2 weeks out??
Hey all, I posted a thread on my driver side seat that has a "crunching" area in it around the lumbar area of the seat that I'm assuming wasn't normal....So I took up to the dealer last night and had my advisor look at it and said that it definlety wasn't normal and that he would have a service appointment set up for me...So they called today and the soonest appointment they have with a loaner is in 2 weeks on Aug 19th....I thought that seemed like a long time to get in for a brand new vehicle that is only 3 weeks old! It doesn't hurt driving with the seat, although it is very annoying, but doesn't that seem like a while to wait to have it looked at? The dealer is just finishing up a major reconstruction with new bays, and expansions, and all but that still seems like a while to wait...Should that be expected for something like this??
Thanks! |
I bet if you were willing to get it in, sans loaner, you could.
Or, maybe the construction is really jamming the system; very hard to know for any of us, from afar. Not the same league, but the "local/only" Honda stlr quoted me 2 1/2 weeks out to replace an oxygen sensor; the Service Idiot's reason was I didn't buy the car there. GL,mD |
I called my adviser today for an appointment, he asked me if I could wait till next week because they were jammed, if there busy, what can you do?

All Stealers are different depending on where you live.
My SA can normally get me in the following day, with loaner and everything. I did not even get the X5 at the same stealership. |
I remember a while back when our dealership wanted us to wait 2 weeks for a loaner also. We asked for just a ride back and they said they could do it next day. Last time we went, they gave us a loaner the day we wanted the appointment. I guess it matters on how busy they are.
