I think Saphire has blue'ish tinge to it also in some lighting. Best to try and see in person. Agree with previous though Saphire as a no cost option is better to take than jet black solid...unless you really like the solid vs mettalic

I used to have metallic black on my E53 and decided to go with jet black on my E70 just for the heck of it. I couldn't be happier. As BGM mentioned, the clarity of Jet black is more noticeable than sapphire. So it all comes down to personal preference, as long as you like black cars. This is my 4th black SUV and I just can't see myself driving a different color SUV.
Ooh, one more thing: Jet Black + Zaino makes a great combination. |
I sold my Jet Black 335 coupe a few months ago. Now I have a Saphire Black E70. Jet Black is non-metallic and is a deep black. It looks great when newly washed and polished. Saphire black is relatively slightly grayish due to the metallic particles in it. It looks really nice on X5 though.
