Any chance you have a pic of this setup with the 19's? I was wanting a permanent setup like that and wondered how it would look ...

I don't. I found one on this site at some point. It looks fine with the 19s although the wheels don't come out to the edge. I'm fine with it for the winter and it has the added benefit of decreasing spray.

My friend (who owns a body shop) charged me 80USD to install. The other friend (who owns a BMW dealership), charged me 130USD for the fender flares (that's how we call them in the US!). Altogether,...$210.-!! Not bad, and it makes the car looking better.

Now I'm waiting for the running boards to arrive ($230), and I'll have the body shop install those as well (another $80.-)
Total mod, $520.- and the whole new look! Under a grand, including the oval tips (still waiting!).

I decided to keep the stock 18" wheels (for a while anyway), because I drive on the gravel for about a mile to my house. I brought the wheels "out" to match the flares (with H&R spacers). Cost $600.-

That's how you mod a 3,0 on the budget! :D

Where did you order the fender flares for that price? Any way other members here can get the same deal?

I am in Brisbane Australia if anybody is interested?

Have you still got these ? Thanks!!!

I just ordered the running board retrofit kit and need to remove the rear arch. I found this gun from ebay and is very cheap. Does it work?

HAND TOOL RIVET GUN + 60 PIECE RIVETS - ALUMINUM - eBay (item 170336504066 end time May-29-09 19:09:17 PDT)

Don't use aluminum rivets. Plastic only. You will not be able to load the plastic rivets in this gun.
Aluminum rivets will cause a galvanic reaction with the steel inthe body and cause rust formation to accelerate.

Marson 48000 - Klik Plastic Rivet Setter with Pouch

Is the one from above able to remove/install rivet on the rear arch? I am going to install running board and the menu said I need to remove the rear arch as well as the clips below the door. I was wondering if the tool will able to remove/install rivets and clips? Is that true the rivets can only be used once even with the rivet gun? If that's the case, I need to go buy some for spare....

JB, Gday mate,

Yes I still have them, but crzzzr emailed me yesterday and also asked, so he would have first call on them if he decides not to take them you can have them.

Removing the black plastic rivets destroys them - the design of a rivet makes it 1-time use only. You'll need a new set. The rear arches do use some reusable white slide-in pegs though.

The tool is only for setting (installing) them.
