What camber angle does your X5 have?
Observing the 2008 X5's front wheels, I can see having a fairly positive camber angle. I'm not sure if this is a factory spec, but am planning to request for an alignment because it just seems like too much of a positive camber. For people who received a new X5, what's the factory set camber angle? Are they distinctly positive, zero or negative?

Positive camber isn't a good thing, unless it was intentional for an vehicle that will be loaded down. An alignment to factory specs would be a good idea.
Personally, I'd go with bit of camber in the front to assist with turn-in. (Dinan sells plates). Factory camber spec in the rear. 0.065 toe-out in the front, 0 toe in the rear. Improper toe kills tires way faster than camber. |
