I've read several posts by folks who got quite a bit off MSRP on various X5s. I'm assuming these were vehicles on the dealers lot. And the dealer had some incentive to move the vehicle, etc. Has anyone gotten a really good deal on an X5 that was built-to-order?

Thanks. The BMW CCA site has conflicting info on whether the 2009 X5 35d is included in the rebate program.

An incentive of $4,500 off and a $1,000 BMW CCA rebate could take the sting out paying nearly "list" for a build-to-order 2009 X5 35d :)

At first, BMW turned down my rebate, but BMWNA changed their mind about rebates on the diesel. My form said, X5 all models and was turned down. I complained as well as a few others and BMW reversed their decision. You shouldn't have any problems with the rebate now. I purchased mine back in January and I ordered it.

Good luck,

Craig

Thanks again Craig. I really appreciate your help.

We ordered our X5 35d today. We hope to have it mid to late August. It would be cool to take delivery on the same day that we picked up our first BMW (a 530i) at the factory in '77.

I have this quote on an ordered 35d with premium, ventilated seats, cold package, rear climate and ipod connector : 56,875. I know there's still PLENTY of wiggle room in this as it invoiced for 55,395 and that's not applying 4500 incentive or 1000 BMWCCA loyalty discount. Not biting on that.

Max - are you near Portland? Go to Kuni & ask for Wally Van Schelt. Tell him Mason sent you. I've bought 4 cars from him; my 35d will be here in 6 weeks. He is a class act + will take good care of you.

FWIW I was told by 2 dealers that the $4,500 incentive expires 8/31/09. One said the limit was "built and delivered by 8/31/09" the other said that it had to be "ordered and locked in by 8/31/09" but the X5 could be built in early Sept. and still qualify. YMMV

On a related note: others have posted that BMW NA raised the financing on the 35d to 5.9% about the same time they started offering the $4,500 incentive. The $4,500 incentive is a boon for cash purchasers and probably a wash for people who finance their vehicles.

What are the details regarding the BMW CCA rebate of $1000?

I bought my X5 35d new (4 miles!) from my dealer on May 21st. Would this count?

Many thanks,

R-

I think you need to have been a BMW CCA dues paying member for the 12 months before your purchase, and you need to apply for the rebate w/in 60 days of your purchase.

Does this mean early 10's are also included in the incentive, or is that just overagressive dealerspeak? I thought 09 production is ceasing mid-late august and MY10 starts right after that. I would also imagine that they would be increasingly desperate to move unsold 09's as the MY10s start showing up, making the 4500 incentive peanuts if you're willing to skimp on options. Someone's gonna get an even screamier deal on an 09 come october/november...
Anyone have any visibility on if any sort of incentive will be offered on MY10?
Regarding the BMW finance rate, historically speaking: would a rise in APR generally correspond with some sort of incentive, be it factory to dlr or factory to customer?
