"You can order a 2010 diesel X5 as well and still get the $4500 credit as long as you order before August 31st. You get the new iDrive with 2010 models."

I find this hard to believe as I recently discussed this with an SA and he checked with BMW as the cutoff date for building 09's was just around the corner.

I do hope you are right, although if I had ordered an 09 under the program only to find that a wait of a week or 2 would have put me into a 10, I would not be happy at all. I really don't think BMW would do that as they would have a lot of very unhappy customers.

Thinking this out... the 335d gets 27mpg combined, 10mpg+ more than my 15mpg clunker SUV, and it is under $45k to start which means I could do the cash for clunkers for another $4500 on top of this eco-credit from BMW? $9k off a brand new car? Yes please.

first car, '95 Isuzu Rodeo, still drive it as a beater into the city. ;) This would be such a great deal, except we actually need a minivan. :(

I am not sure if the $1800 IRS deduction will be available on 2010 models as its usually on first 60,000 cars. :dunno:

Honda dealers have a good deal on 2010 Odyssey....works out to almost $10k disc with $4500 on a 40k Touring edition. My buddy just got one. And it has the variable cylinder management (BMW is working on it) where its shuts off up to 3 cylinders to save gas.

How much did he pay out the door? I got a car that qualifies for the Cash For Clunkers program. I'm torn between the 335d (which I love) and the Honda Odessey Touring (which I should get).

Really wish I could have waited for the X5 35d.
