Order Placed - Now the wait begins

First of all - thanks to everyone on this forum...so much information available to process!

So I did it - the order has been placed

2010 BMW X5 35d
- Black Sapphire (If by chance Sophisto Grey is not limited to the 10th Edition, I'm switching in a heartbeat!)
- Nevada Black Leather
- Dark Bamboo High Gloss Trim
- Premium PKG
- Exec PKG
- Tech PKG
- Running Boards
- Anthracite Roof Liner

ETA - is Nov 2009 :(

Need some help here...

So I've decided to NOT get the Sport PKG and instead keep the 18's for Winter and get 214's for the Summer - thoughts?

The waiting begins - lucky the internet is a LARGE space to poke around for information :)

You won't regret it! That diesel is wonderful to drive. The sport package is comprised of more than the 20" wheels though. The trim around the grills, the trim around the windows, the suspension setup, etc... I would go with the standard sports package (which I think has 19" wheels), then buy the 20" for the good looking part. At least this way, you get the benefits of the sport package, and still have 19's for winter...

Either way, still gonna be a nice ride. :D

I agree. Get the sport package. Add the 20's and fender flares later.

Congrats! The wait is grueling. I'm in the last week of wating for mine, ordered early July. I chose the same colors as you (Black Sapphire, Bamboo, Nevada Black)!

If you're planning to run studded tires in the winter, then you'll want to keep your 18's! I ordered the sport package with 19's and later discovered that no one makes studdable 19" tires. Luckily a friendly forum member here gave me a solid deal on his take-off 18" set, which are in the mail right now and may just get here before my new X5 does.

Did you get to drive a diesel before ordering one? The motor is heavenly.

Best,
Full Speed

Congrats! November will be here sooner than you think.

Only if he buys beer by the case. One* a day should make the time pass a little quicker ;)

Ummm... not that I would know from first hand experience, of course

Look at the bright side. That would make a great Holiday Present. Just in time to show it off to your friends and family;). Can't go wrong with BSM.

Thanks guys.

I thought that 19's that come with the Sports PKG are summers and not for winter?

Also, if I get order without the Sports PKG, when I get 20's, will I need to do any lowering or spacers...or will it work right out of the box?

Thanks.

Thanks man - long wait for you too! Tick-tock, almost there! :)

I'm not getting studded tires...hmmm, I think they are 'illegal' to use here in Southern Ontario. Yep, took out diesel on a test-drive :yikes: BTW, thanks for reminding me what I'm missing for 3 months! LOL
