Wow, it looks very good.
Your X is nice, fully loaded. The new pads will hold my cell phone better when I leave it on top of the tray. Doe anybody knows if the pads come in Oyster color? |

Just added the Knee Pads to my X5 4.8i
This was an easy mod, looks awesome and ran about $350 to complete...

Sorry to bump this old thread up but can you please point out where did you ordered the parts from and what part of the knee pads needs to be cut off.
|
Hi,
I believe there were a couple of tabs that need to be cut off of one of the pieces, but it's be a while and I don't really remember. You will need to order parts #10 and #11 (in the color of your interior) shown below: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/d/a/335.png You can find the above diagram and the part numbers for the items at the link for Realoem.com posted earier in the thread. Thanks, John |
Finally had some time yesterday and did this mod. What I did differently is to leave the front tab on both left and right knee pads as is and just cut the rear tabs to have a secure hold. Took me about 45 minutes from start to finish.
