Too bad that folks are getting messed up with this eco credit. It should be simple.

My 35d seemed to be a simple transaction. However, at the end of July, I was told that there was no 'allocation' for new orders for 09. Fortunately, I found what I wanted minus one little detail at a more-than-agreeable price.

I'm glad I got it too. This is a fine vehicle. I disagree with those who feel it isn't valued properly. A new Toyota Landcruiser, with the same gear as my old Landcruiser is $72k. The X5 came in just a hair over $50k. I'll take the 35d over the $72k Landcruiser anytime.

It really is a joy to drive. It responds very well on the turnpike above 60. Without much sensation, you are going 90 very quickly, and the guy trying to keep up is wondering what you have under the hood. I think a laser/radar detector is definitely in my future.

If you are seriously considering a diesel, don't let a few hundred bucks keep you out of a fine ride.

If you get hit with laser, a laser detector won't save you a ticket. I have two Valentine One's, but when I'm hit with laser, it's too late. All it tells you is you were hit with laser.

True enough about direct hits of lidar or i/o with driving the lead vehicle going 30 over psl but V1 is better than most at getting bounces which can make a difference. (Don't know for sure how this compares to the new Redline competition.) Then again little hope for VASCAR other than a cb.
