E70 4.8i Oil Questions
Where is the 4.8i's oil filter?!
Underneath close to the drain plug. You'll see a cut out on the plate below the engine area once you remove that plastic cover. It'll be a black cap with a screw on the bottom of it.

Thank you! :)

Is there a DIY for oil change on the 4.8?? Or if not, what kind of tools do I need to perform such task?
No special tools other than a good socket set. Most of them are standard sizes. Just need to first remove the cover underneath and then a small bolt on the filter - which will allow the filter to drain. After which, unscrew the filter and replace cartridge and seals on it (couple o-rings). Then, using I think it was a HEX head, remove the drain plug and allow it to drain. I think there will be close to 8 quarts or so being drained so have two replacement jugs + extra when re-filling.

Awesome! I suppose you do your own oil changes? Where do you get your filters? I could only find "Hengst" oil filter online, and BMW charges $24 for their filter.
Pelican claims Hengst is the OEM supplier to BMW, but they also show a Mann filter alternative:

Ooh okay thanks for pointing that out. But it seems like they do not carry E70 line.
I will order some filters from AutohausAZ tonight
I bought some OEM ones from the dealer.
