who almost got the X6??
 

i'm sure i'm not the only one here....

i've been going back and forth between the new X5 and X6 (both in 6)

i will be trading my 08 x5 for a 2010 and I've been going crazy with this decision..

it hasn't been that easy for me... it's not a question of whether or not I need a "truck or sportier vehicle" or should I being saying SAV vs SAC?

it's really cargo space that I trully need and both offer plenty of it... but not for work, God no, more like Costco and local running around....I have no children and I like to have fun with some power... (but don't want to opt for the V8)

love the X5 but the X6 has been growing on me... although I did see a black one on the highway that kinda looked funny!

both vehicles will be in white with blk and aluminum trim...(with all the bells and whistles)

Has someone gone through these comparisons??

test drove both which didn't make things easier...

If I were in your situation, I'd get the X6.

I think the X6 might be the ugliest car ever made. The new Accord Crosstour and the Pontiac Aztec are obvious cousins. I am sure it drives fine but damn!

X6 is growing on me....
 

However, the "professional" reviews say that the steering feel is terrible and that it feels heavy, even compared the X5. I never drove one, but I like the fact that you don't see many on the road. I didn't like it originally, but I'm really starting to like it now. And I really like the interior.

I have a little girl, so the cargo area in the X5 is more practical for me.

Which specific reviews?

If you live in NYC, oversized parking rates might have to figure into your decision as well. I always get charged oversized for the X5 in NYC, I can't imagine the X6 having the same issue.

That being said, I want to like the X6, but I just don't. Have you seen the new Honda Accord Crosstour or Acura ZDX? BMW is the trendsetter, but the Honda and Acura sure look like the X :(.

I'll see if I can find it. Keep in mind that I had professionals in quotes for a reasons - I don't believe everything they write.

I don't think the X6 is ugly... I believe it is trendy and there are numerous similar styles...(Infinity FX models for one...)

it does ride on the same chassis and have the same technology (suspension, steering, and tech toys) as the X5 but comes with more power..

haven't seen any bad ride reviews... can you send links?
