I know... it's the principle. At least it wasn't the vette, it would be tough to burn it off before I put it away for winter ;)

I could have burned those 15gals off, in your Vette, in a day's run around
western NJ, and Orange Cty NY for you! :D

The Finance guy at my local dealer told me they only have regular in the tanks on the lot & that the only cars they take down the street to a service station are the Diesels and the M's.

My question would be if they leave the gas cap loose and cause a check engine light... who pays for the diagnosis? I would bring the receipt to the gas station with the fuel receipt stapled to it and say "fill her up, premium... on your dollar!"

You're probably one of those guys that believes in Goverment run healthcare too ?!?

I just always prefer self as previously mentioned, some people just can't figure out gas goes in the tank not down the side of my car...... and if its dirty forget about just wiping it..... I with ya though the simpliest of tasks seem to elude some people

Won't hurt it, my dealer fill them up with regular as a practice. Have driven many times with regular on long trip - no performance issues but the mileage does drop a "wee bit."

Grew up in NJ and have been out of state for about 10 years - can't believe they still mandate full service. The best was when I had a diesel 300Td MB that some idiot filled with regular gas. Had to drive from Hackensack to Bedminster and it was at night. Didn't notice anything until the car started to buck on Route 80. Was really fun getting home. Next day was even worse - drained the tank and had to clean the filters.

at least you dont have a diesel and they put in regular!
