2010 X35D pricing? Experience negotiating?

Looking at a Sapphire Black/Saddle Brown X35D. $62Kmsrp. Wanted to get a feel for what you all paid or were able to negotiate on a in stock 2010 X35D. Dealer has mentioned the Eco Credit. Got a letter in the mail from BMW today about their 'sales event' and saving $2,500 on next lease or purchase which I'm not sure you can combine with eco credit/X35D or not.

They've not talked $ yet... Car is in Portland, OR. May trade in my X or sell...unsure.

Thanks!

I don't believe you can combine the Holiday credit with the Eco credit....I could be wrong. As far as pricing, you're late in the game. The Eco credit is currently running until the beginning of Jan 2010. Most dealerships will now try to highball the price since you only have a small window to get that $4500 savings. Good luck!

For you: $4,500 Eco-credit
Against you: Eco-credit and Holiday Credit cannot be combined; Eco-credit is almost over (Jan 4); X5d inventory is very low.

Good luck, and let us know how you do!

Figured it'd be too good to be true. This dealer has 5 X35d's and 4 are spoken for already. Will see what they come back with on price. :)

Concord has a mineral green one on order, that as of Saturday I had on reserve. I cancelled my order. I don't know if they filled it. But I HIGHLY suggest you purchase your X5 elsewhere.

Oh, so I guess you decided to cancel the order since you didn't get a good deal. Good for you!

$1,000 to $1,500 over invoice should be your target. I paid my local dealer $2k over invoice but could have beat them up more for it if needed right before Thanksgiving, but I don't mind them making a nice margin on me once in a while as they provide top-notch service and my sales guy is excellent.

I also negotiated 2K over invoice, plus the eco credit, plus the BMW club loyalty reward of $1000.... I'm also sure you could beat them up for a few hundred more, but I also believe this is the best dealer with the best service and I felt the pricing negotiation was fair for both of us.

Montoya, you are in PDX right? Which dealer? Kuni or Rasmussen? I've been working with Kuni but all the X35D's shot right out of the door when they arrived. I've found another in SLC, but it's $64K msrp! They are hard to find!

We've picked up '10 35D few days ago for smthg like $800 over invoice, but I did negotiations at the end of Nov, plus having quite a few dealers around DC helps to get the lowest price.

As a side note, if you need financing, Bank of America offers 3.75%/60 months and the application process is very easy thru their website.
