Hey those are some nice pictures of the new BMW X5xDrive40d. Any idea when the X5xDrive40dSXMX will come out?

Thanks for posting the 40d pictures! those helped me finally make up my mind about the 336's - while I do like the stance of the wide 20's, the wheels themselves are too "flowery". The Y spoke design has been taken to a new extreme :)

Thanks LeMans !

I think that brown color is not very flattering for the 336's. Wait and see pics with more "standard' colors (or on the Visualizer posted here) and I think your opinion will change.

I have been back and forth with my opinion of the 336... Im pretty much decided aginst them and the 335s...

great pictures!
Does anyone know what the bottom right button on the center console is for (below the favorite buttons)? Ive never seen it occupied on an X before.
Is it for the side cams?

X5 Meister 04-12-2010 06:06 PM

Yes, side cams.

Everybody and their mom has 214s on the their e70 since that is the only 20" option (unless you want to drop another $8K on upgrading OEMs on top of that). The 333s on the M Sport look good IMO as well. I do wish BMW would go back to some sort of 5 star spoke but that's not going to happen.

:iagree: I still think that 5-spoke style 128 looks good as compared to all the flower style wheels. Somebody should get them powder coated in gun metal or dual tone like M6 wheels and they will be ace.

I saw the new X5 at the NY Auto Show. That new brown color is really nice. And while I didn't like the fog lights in the pictures I saw, it looked better in person. One thing that I couldn't tell was whether it had the LED angel eyes. They had the new 5 series and slightly refreshed 3 series and they both have them.
